ABC children interview a Radio Laser presenter!

9 and 10 year old children, from 4th McNeil, interviewed Jorge Bustamante, a radio presenter, via web-cam.

Why did you decide to be a radio presenter?

First, I wanted to be a doctor. After I finished being a doctor I became a radio presenter.

How do you get the information for the news?

Rafa and I get the information for the news from the internet and the newspapers.

What is the most exciting news you have ever told?

I don’t really have an answer because I have told a lot of exciting news so I can’t decide which is my favourite.

Do you have days off?

Yes, I have days off in my house. I have 9 radios that I turn off when I have days off!

Do you change your voice when you present the news?

No, you have to always talk with your normal voice, unless you play as another character.

How does being a news reporter affect your life?

Being a news reporter holds a lot of responsibility because you can influence people to feel happy, sad, angry etc.

How do you feel being a radio news reporter?

It’s beautiful and you learn what is happening to our world.

What do you like about being a news reporter on the radio?

What I like about being a news reporter on the radio is to joke, cheer and inspire people.

What countries are you presenting to?

I present to El Salvador and I present with an app around the world in different languages.

Where is the location of your radio station?

The radio station is between Channel 2 and El Deportivo.
